"True" is the wrong answer

The statement in the question is wrong. ADR methods do not follow any given set of laws or rules. It's the parties who decide what mutually agreed-upon rules they want to be followed during the process and what solution works best for them. They even have the liberty to leave the session at any time they wish. Even the mediator can introduce new rules, but both parties must agree to them.
